Welcome

Welcome to New Lubbesthorpe Primary School's website. We hope you find all of the information you are looking for and that the website will give you an insight into the life at our wonderful school. New Lubbesthorpe is a developing and growing community.  We are accepting all pupils from EYFS to Year 6.

The school will grow year on year as we welcome new children across the school. It will eventually have two year groups (two form entry) EYFS to Year 6 and is built to cater for 420 pupils. It is a very exciting time for all of us as we establish New Lubbesthorpe in the local community and we welcome your support for our school.

This strong partnership between parents and the school is so important in enabling children to achieve success and so I ask for your full support of school policies and for your continued proactive involvement in your child’s education, please continue to support all of our new parents to download the free app to allow our continued communication, https://www.newlubbesthorpe.leics.sch.uk/about-us-1/mobile-app-installation.

The school received a successful Ofsted inspection, with an overall judgement of Good and Outstanding for Personal development.  It was wonderful that His Majesty’s Ofsted inspectors recognised ‘The school has high expectations of pupils’ learning and behaviour.’ Inspectors were impressed with our pupils’ positive behaviour ‘Pupils are respectful, well- mannered and polite. ’Pupils are a credit to the school.’
The inspectors praised the quality of education received by all pupils, highlighting the strength of the curriculum and the multitude of opportunities there are for children to enjoy personal
development. ‘The school has produced a well-considered curriculum. It has identified the most important knowledge that pupils need to know in all subjects. This is broken down into smaller steps that pupils learn in a logical order. There is a focus on developing children’s vocabulary right from the start. ‘Teachers’ subject knowledge is strong, and they are passionate about what they teach’.

The school is identified as being Outstanding for personal development which is the highest ranking that Ofsted can award. ‘The personal development curriculum is extremely strong. The school wants to give
opportunities to broaden pupils’ horizons. The school’s ‘characteristics of success’ are embedded in the curriculum. The children strive to acquire these characteristics and live by them.’
Our dedicated Values based Education work was praised in our report. ‘The school is preparing pupils exceptionally well for life in modern Britain. Pupils are very knowledgeable about fundamental British values, and they understand the importance of showing respect. They explain that everyone should be treated equally.’

It is an honour to be the headteacher of this wonderful school and we look forward to continuing our success as our community grows.

    ADMISSIONS CONSULTATION 2027 – 2028, PROPOSED ARRANGEMENTS

    Dear Parents and Carers,

We have been contacted by LiFE Multi Academy Trust to inform you that the consultation regarding admissions arrangements will commence on 15th December 2025. As agreed, this consultation includes the proposal to add New Lubbesthorpe to the primary feeder list for both Bosworth and Winstanley secondary schools.
Below is the message published on the LiFE Multi Academy Trust website and circulated to all stakeholders, including both secondary and primary schools:

    ADMISSIONS CONSULTATION 2027 – 2028, PROPOSED ARRANGEMENTS
In line with the Department for Education’s statutory School Admissions Code (2021), the Trust, as the Admissions Authority, is required to consult on its academies’ admission arrangements when changes are proposed and at least once every seven years. This consultation ensures we meet that statutory duty. We are inviting parents and key stakeholders to take part in a consultation on the proposed admissions arrangements for academies within the Trust for the 2027–2028 academic year.

    Consultation Period: 15 December 2025 – 30 January 2026 (closing at 5:00 pm)
During this time, you are welcome to share your views and any concerns regarding the proposed arrangements.

View the draft arrangements and how to reply:
The letter to interested parties which explains the various options for submitting your response is available here (see attached file) and the draft 2027–2028 admissions arrangements are available here (see attached file)
Copies can also be obtained from the office of each academy.
Thank you for your attention and participation in this important consultation.
    Kind regards,
    Natalie Hackett

    New Lubbesthorpe Christmas Fair

    Dear Parent/Carer(s),

The PTA would like to say a huge thank you for all the amazing and generous gifts the children brought in for the Christmas Hampers and tombola. Your contributions are truly appreciated, and thanks to your support we are able to raise funds to provide exciting opportunities and enhancements to the school experience for all our children.

We will be hosting a stall and games in the School Hall this Saturday from 2pm to 4pm as part of the New Lubbesthorpe Parish Council Christmas Fair. Come along and say hello! The school choir will be singing at 2pm, we will also be raffling off the Class Hampers, with the draw taking place at 4pm, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the light switch-on at 5pm.

Raffle tickets were sent home with children last week and are £1 per ticket. Please ensure that ticket stubs and money are returned to the school office by Thursday 4th December. If you need more tickets, they can be collected from reception. Please also return any unsold tickets.

We are always grateful for your support—whether you can spare some time to volunteer or have a great idea for fundraising, everyone is welcome. If you’d like to get involved, please email newlubbpta@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
